Mosquitoes are everywhere and all year round. Avoid the harsh chemicals & sprays by growing your own repellents! They will deter these pests from coming near your home, and they can be used to create natural sprays and essential oils that can be applied directly to the skin.

Here are a few of the more common plants to add to your herb collection:
Basil
Garlic
Lavender
Lemon grass
Marigold
Mint
Rosemary
Thyme

To prepare most of these herbs, either steam, cool and store in spray bottles, or the leaves & flowers may be bruised in mortar & pestle and placed in your favorite carrier oils: grape seed, sweet almond, olive, coconut, for at least 14 days before applying onto the skin.

Not only do these make effective repellents, but also there are countless health and beauty benefits.
